In The Pink

 

Kimberly is perhaps the favorite pink ranger of all time.  She started out as the first pink ranger and was with the original team.  She controlled the Pterodactyl zord and was an important asset to the team.  When Tommy Oliver came into the picture, she found herself instantly attracted to him.  She and Tommy became an item, ironically, the episode that Tommy lost his powers for the first time.  When season two rolled around and reached the middle, she and Billy Cranston were the only two of the original five to remain in Angel Grove, while the others attended the Peace Conference in Switzerland.  She controlled the Firebird Thunder Zord in the second season and later controlled the Pink Crane Ninjetti zord.  She was also the only ranger to not have a Shogun Zord.  Later in the third season, Kimberly’s position was challenged by Rita’s recruited cat monster, Katherine Hillard.  She had her eyes set on Tommy, and she wanted Kimberly out of the picture.  She was finally able to overcome Rita’s magic when she saw how kind Kimberly and the other rangers really were, thus not harming Kim.  But then, when Kim was doing gymnastics, she severely hurt herself and was taken to the hospital by Kat.  Kat explained everything to her and hoped she would forgive her.  Kim was offered to be taught gymnastics by one of the finest teachers in the country, but she had hesitations about leaving the team.  After seeing how nice Kat really was, she passed down her Ninja powers to her, and the pink ranger left the scene.  After she left, her relationship with Tommy, of course, came to an end as she met someone else.  She appeared later in the series on Turbo with Jason in the movie.  She and Jason were made sacrifices to Maligore, and she attacked her past friends Tommy and Kat.  She was returned back to normal by Lerigot.
